TiG4
This is really a personal application but I figured someone might use it. What it does it checks how many new e-mails you have recieved and allows you to see it with a very minimalistic window that floats on your desktop. It is not finished but will be by this weekend. Please post your screenshots, ideas, bugs, comments. (As always ) And tell me what I should do to enhance it. I hope that it can help someone out. For those confused of how to configure the application, just right-click the window that opens and there are all the available options. ***************************** mailCheck v1.0 ***************************** mailCheck v1.0 ***************************** TiG4 Link to comment

TiG4
@Duckie: Merlin is coming along well, I wanted to develop like 3 or 4 channels before I released it again and I wanted to fix all the previous bugs. But if you want I can release another with the weather script if you want. Just tell me and I'll finish it up tonight and it should be ready by saturday.@Andreas: Yeah, that is really wierd. I was going to fix that last night but got really tired. Expect a fix today or tomorrow. Also, skinning is planned on the agenda of things to do. I just wanted to get a user reaction before I put a whole lot of work into this application. But yes I should be able to support skinning very soon. Known Bugs:-If you let the application run for a while you might get an error message box with the following messafe "ERR:"-The windows startbar may dissapear when the application is in focus-The "Open Outlook" option does not functionPlease report all other errors. P.S. I am off of school for the next month, so expect some serious progress on Merlin!!! (Plus all my other apps like fontBook and mailCheck) Link to comment

I've done this, and NOTHING HAPPENS !! I'm relatively new in this area, but love the "Mail check" idea. Please help. Thx in advance Link to comment
TiG4
@Jack_Surfer: Jack, what e-mail service do you use? My application will not work with hotmail or other web-only e-mail clients. You must have a POP3 (IMAP will work I think) e-mail account. For example, I use .Mac e-mail, so my mail server (or POP3 server) would be mail.mac.com. The name changes with every e-mail service, like I also have a Road Runner account and the server is pop-server.houston.rr.com, so it really all depends. Tell me what service you use and I might be able to help ya out on filling in the info necessary. Hope this helps. TiG4 Link to comment
