  1. Hello people, I'm trying to use Wordpress as a CMS. The site is at http://nodebox.metaforix.net/wordpress. I've been following the guide on Wordpress.org (http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages) and I've done the following: 1) Installed and activated the Static Front Page Plugin 2) Added the 'blog.php' code to list my blog posts. I am using a slightly-modified Hemingway theme. When I click on Blog (on the horizontal menu), it gives an error: Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/metafori/public_html/nodebox/wordpress/wp-content/themes/hemingway/index.php on line 15 "Bl
  2. Yup, in fact I'm testing Drupal right now. What irks me, though, is that let's say I want a main link for my design portfolio. I have to link it to a "page" (in Drupal terminology). And since that link only links to one page, I have to consolidate everything into one page. What I'd have preferred, was something like a blog, except: 1) It's arranged in a chronological order (not very intuitive for design portfolios) and 2) It seems that I can only have one blog module at a time. =(
  3. While trawling through various design sites, I realised that it would be really tedious to update the portfolio/content regularly if editing by hand. Hence I was wondering if there was something like a CMS where I can update my website, while retaining the look. What do I mean? If you look at the conventional CMS like PHP-Nuke or Postnuke, the layout is pretty much fixed. They are customizable (as far as I know). I'm interested in using Wordpress, firstly because its the one that I have the most experience in, and secondly it seems possible. Any ideas? =)
  4. Hey, if I want to be big, I gotta start big. :-P

  7. I bow in humbleness at your highness's feet. Perchance the good sir would like me to shine his boots? It works now. Thanks for the help, nc and wizard. =)
  8. Thank you people, you guys rock. It works now. However, I'm stuck with the SAME problem on another design. And this time it doesn't work. I'm sorry if I sound stupid, but i have absoultely no idea why this is happening, as both sites are based on the same concepts or the sidebar floating, so to speak. The second design is found here: http://metaforix.net/test2/ Thanks in advance. =)
  9. Hi people, got a little problem that I hope you can help me with. My website is here: http://metaforix.net/test/ I would like to know why my container (which encapsulates the sidebar) does not expand automatically to accomodate the height of the sidebar automatically. Thanks My code is below: For HTML: <link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <body> <div id="container"> <h2>This is a test</h2> <div id="tabnav"> <li><a href="#" class="active">gonzo</a></li> <li><a href="#">fozzie</a></l
