  1. Has anyone seen any update on this subject? My weather desklet isn't working either, so I'm assuming all SysStats weather desklets are being affected by this, no?
  2. Good to know. Thanks for the information.
  3. Don't know if anyone has posted this, but I found a bug. I went to View > View Duplicates to try and see if I had any duplicates, but the option wasn't there. Nor was the option to View Options. This is what I saw: With Multi-Plugin installed I uninstalled Multi-Plugin and sure enough, everything was back again: Without Multi-Plugin installed Has this bug been reported before? Will it be fixed? I hope so, because I like using Multi-Plugin.

Try putting this in instead of a zip code: Oostende Airport,Belgium Copy and paste that exactly how it is (no space between the comma and Belgium, but a space between Oostende and Airport). That should work.

Have you tried running AveDesk and SysStats without Lucid Weather? I have the latest SysStats as well and haven't had any problems with Lucid Weather. I also haven't heard of anyone else with this problem, so I'm wondering if there is a different factor involved on your end.

I cannot seem to find this when I go to add a desklet. I have the latest version of AveScripter installed (not the beta version though). Do I need to install the latest beta to make this work?

Have you tried typing just Melbourne? I tried it and it seemed to work just fine (unless there's a Melbourne in the US that I don't know about).

I just thought of something that may remedy your problem. If you want to try... configure the widget and make thepath of the "Background (smoked)" overlay point to the clear background PNG file and vice versa. That just might work. You can then rename the overlays to their new proper backgrounds if you're picky like me.

Just out of curiosity, what is MSXML4, judge? Does that have to do with the live feed from weather.com?

Hmmm, you've done everything I would have suggested other than a restart of your computer. Sometimes AveDesk will randomly crash no matter what I'm running and a restart of my computer will take care of it.. As it says in the README.txt file, I'm not a developer so I don't really know what else to do here. I'm sorry this is happening to you. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Yeah, I probably should have added that in the bugs section of the README file, but I always use the smoked background so I didn't think of it. I don't know how to get around that unfortunately. I'm sorry, but I'm glad you like it otherwise.

Keep in mind that this way the name of the city will change, but the conditions will remain the same as they were for Columbus (the default city). I assume that .Fliz was wanting to change the city name to perhaps a suburb of a major city? Anyway... in order for EVERYTHING (weather icons, temperature, and conditions) to change you need to double click the name of the city displayed and then enter your zip code. Instructions are in the README.txt file.

Thanks for the comment. I'm not quite sure I follow what you're asking though. Are you saying you want to change the name of the city displayed, but want the icons and temperatures for a different city to show up? What city are you trying to get that it is not listed on weather.com? I suppose if you wanted to you could edit the text by right clicking the docklet, selecting configure, going to the overlays tab, and selecting city name, hitting the configure button, and then deleting %s under "format" and then typing in whatever you want in the text box. The temperature and icons would st
  14. This is my first attempt at creating a widget for SysStats. I made this widget a while ago and never thought of releasing it, but after receiving permission from a few people I finally decided to do it. Since this is my first attempt at a widget, feedback would be greatly appreciated. Features Include: - current conditions - three-day forecast - two changeable skins Click here to download Alternate download at DockEx.com
  15. Thanks so much judge. This is exactly what I have been looking for! By the way, is there a complete list of weather codes posted somewhere?
  16. I've never heard of a pnp file (is that really a valid file type or was that a typo?). I renamed the icons to have a .pnp extension and that did nothing, but then I tried removing or adding a 0 to different icon packs and that did the trick! Also I realized that one pack I had was missing the 05/5.png icon, so that was also a problem. Thanks very much for the suggestion.
  17. Does anybody else have problems with missing icons for their weather docklets? I have downloaded and tested multiple weather docklets and it seems as if every single one has a problem displaying the icon for (what I believe is) a mix of rain and snow. I believe it is icon # 05 or 07 in every icon pack. Does anyone have any information regarding this?
  18. Yeah, I have actually played with many other weather docklets. Unfortunately none of them have what I am looking for. I am releasing one (my first!) by the end of this month and have been picking apart other ones to see how they work. Thank you for the suggestion and the links though. Much appreciated. Any weather docklet experts around?
  19. Nobody knows if this is possible?
  20. When working with weather in SysStats I know you can show the current weather conditions in text format by entering the following in the below fields: Format: %s Meter: Weather Selector: //cc/t I was wondering if there was a way to get future conditions (for Day 1, Day 2, etc.) as well. I assume the text in the Selector field would have to change, correct? If so... to what?
  21. Thanks bigC. I actually was looking for the SysStats help and that did it.
  22. When I open the Desklets Control Panel and click on Help > Index, nothing happens. Am I missing something here? I am running AveDesk 1.3.
  23. cthoffm: Hmmmm, I don't know if I can answer your question, but I'll give you all the info I can. I have made my own weather widget by modding another one so much that I don't remember what the original name of it was. I can tell you this though: Format is %S and I see the first letter of the day Meter is set to Weather. My other options are (none), Drawer Animation, and Hotspot Selector is set to //day[@d=1]/@t Is there a way to incorporate a time meter as another option? If so, how do I go about doing that? EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out how to add a time meter and I used your li
  24. For anyone who messes around with weather docklets, I was wondering if there was a code to have day abbreviations like Mon. Tue. Wed. etc. I know that %s will give the entire name and %S will give the first letter of the day, but is there a code for just the first three letters?
