  2. Ahh... never mind... the "cheap one" only has 1 active key. The full blown board at $15k... NOT!!! That would buy way too many nice guitars for that kind of cash.
  3. $1500??? It says "approx. 462.27 US$" Still too pricey for a keyboard. Wonder what happens when you spill your coffee on it?
  4. Now that would be cool. But in typical Apple fashion, you know it ain't gonna be cheap.
  5. Your friend is a brave person. SP3 is HUGE (336MB). Any mods FAK did to the systems files would have been over written by the SP 3 install. Most likely he did it afterwards.
  6. Well let's see... since SP3 for Windows XP hasn't been released yet (still in RC1 status), I would guess the answer is no.
  7. I believe it is a forgone conclusion, but it won't be in the U.S. or European market for at least another year. Apple had to make a 3G phone simply because most Asian markets don't have EDGE anymore.
  8. You mean the 3G iPhone "leaked", not announced, back on Nov. 28. The CEO of AT&T hates Steve Jobs. He was not around when the iPhone deal was worked out with Cingular and has publicly stated that AT&T is getting the short end of the stick on this deal.
  9. Nice. I'm curious about the lawyers response to this one too.
  10. Mac Rumors posted this almost a week ago. http://www.macrumors.com/2007/12/28/iphone...nd-screenshots/ It's still debated as to the authenticity of the video. So far everything that has been shown in the video, can be done with a jailbreaked 1.1.2 iPhone.
  11. I'd like to know how they plan to do that since you need a microphone. Something the iTouch lacks.
  12. I am now the proud owner of an 8GB iPhone. FUn little thing. EDGE is still slow as hell, but thank god for WiFi.
  13. Turn off UAC in the security settings. The above statement by KJ is BS. :slant: Having it on or off will make no difference on whether you will get any virus infections or not. Here's how you turn it off. 1. Open Control Panel. 2. Under User Account and Family settings click on the "Add or remove user account". 3. Click on one of the user accounts, for example you can use the Guest account. 4. Under the user account click on the "Go to the main User Account page" link. 5. Under "Make changes to your user account" click on the "Change security settings"
  14. A.K.A. Rebel XT I have one... nice. Use that with the Canon plug-in in Photo shop.
  15. There is a tool that is out there called ComboFix that cured the problem back on 2006, but that hole in MSN security was patched ages ago. Unless your friend is one of those idiots who refuses to apply Service Packs or updates, I'd be really curious about the name of said bug. Could be a variant of the older one.
  16. What's the name of the virus? As for AV programs detecting it, they have to have a definition or signature for it before they can detect it. As for it popping back up, it most likely placed a registry key to execute it. Common tactic for most infections of this type.
  17. Personal exemptions only apply on low value items. Don't recall the exact $$ figure, but it is definitely less than the cost of a new laptop. I have friends in Toronto that come across the border to buy guitars in the US, but they still get nailed when they cross the border. Yes, not nearly as bad as if they bought them in Canada, but when you factor in fuel and your time, it can get expensive.
  18. No, but it is a crime to buy something in the US and then not declare it to Canadian customs when you drive it across the border. The price difference has very little to do with the currency exchange rates. It's all about duties and taxes. When you buy something from Apple in Canada, Apple has already paid the import duties and taxes on it. They then pass that cost on to YOU the Canadian consumer. So when you think you are smart and drive across the border to buy that Mac, remember that you MUST declare it when you return to Canada and you must pay the duties and taxes on it. In then end, yo
  19. I would use Parallels. Crossover is basically WINE in a fancy package. Even the creators say it's not even close to 100%. http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/.../the_real_dirt/ Pretty pricey for having something that kind of works.
  20. 4.6. Action: Political and Religious Topics. There are many other forums specifically for political and religious debates, this is not one of them. Aqua-Soft is an emulation and skinning community and, as such, because these types of posts usually result in heated debates and flaming, they should be avoided. Result: Threads are closed and/or removed.
  21. Please tell me you guys aren't using a shared login. If so, the teacher is an idiot. Just change the permissions on the folder so that only the teacher's login has rights to it. Anyone else clicks on it, they will get an "Access Denied" alert. Not rocket science here.
  22. T1 is slow compared to most broadband connections. You are already running at the equivalent speed of 7.3 T1 lines For future reference. T1 - 1.544 megabits per second T3 - 43.232 megabits per second (28 T1s) OC3 - 155 megabits per second (84 T1s) OC12 - 622 megabits per second (4 OC3s) OC48 - 2.5 gigabits per seconds (4 OC12s) OC192 - 9.6 gigabits per second (4 OC48s)
  23. Go read up on Superfetch. It doesn't "use" 59% of your memory, it pre-loads programs that you use the most into memory to make them load faster. If another program needs more memory, Vist will dump the preloaded programs and give the memory to the active program. They didn't crash "because of Vista", they crashed because THE PROGRAMS were no 100% compatible with Vista. It's the programs fault they crashed, not Vista's. Or to be more precise, it was YOUR fault they crashed because you ASSUMED they would run under Vista.
  24. Really??? It works great on the Palm Treo 750, the Moto Q, the Wing and a boatload of other cell phones. And if it was "so unstable" why is it still the poplular Your opinion I take it. The iPhone, in it's current state, is out classed by every 3G Windows Mobile phone out there. OK... the browser is cool... kinda. But it's still slower than dog poo on the EDGE network. Haven't played with a Touch yet, so I have no opinion on it.
