  11. Cool... But you can go open source with the GCC compiler. You don't have to be a nexpert to use either... go get Dev-C++ from http://www.bloodhed.net/dev and get the latest! it comes with GCC 3.4.2 and GCC 4.0 for it should be in the next beta.

  23. I have been tring to startmy C++ development for Linux, but.... I put my fedora core DVD in my drive and the computer boots to the ISO Linux screen. I press enter as default and the computer sais somthing like: Loading Linux... Uncompressing the kernel..............[/cpde] and the computer reboots. I tried Turning ACPI OFF and the setup startes until hardware detection... then when it hits the USB part it locks up the system. Solutions I've tried: Using the onboard graphics as default.
