Scan the threads. You have to use a blank or fully transparent .png. Search these forums, it's here somewhere.
edit: use this transparent .png as the separator. It should work:

No, it's definitely not possible. You can only remove the separator using the blank .png. There will still be a small space that the blank .png takes up. Sorry, this is one of the present limitations of the dock. Hoipefully there will be an option to remove the separator in future releases.

This is VERY easy... surprised it got this far without an answer yet. If you go into your itemlist.ini file, there's a group of dashes, 5 of them. Just delete those 5 dashes, and you've deleted the separator!!
Only problem is you can't get to the Dock menu anymore. So no configuration and no quitting!!!!
And before someone asks... no you can't add another group of these dashes and get another separator. YzDock only recognizes the FIRST instance of them.

Completely losing control of the dock to remove the separator? That's kind of a half-ass workaround. If he wants to lose the separator that bad, more power to him, I guess. The blank .png seems like the better alternative to me. But half-assed workarounds are essential in working with beta's :-)
