Sorry, but, I can't seem to edit it correctly. I open it with Notepad and the code is incomplete. I open it with XML editor and I see the complete code but can't modify it... Is there some program or anything?

open it with wordpad or something. Notepad is known to not recognize unix-style newlines, and makes editing stuff a pain.

I got the new version but i have some problems:

1. Everytime I load XWD with windows, there's a separator that keeps on showing, even if I delete it, it loads again after restarting XWD.

2. Also with restart, my PICS folder is gone, so everytime i have to add it again, and change its icon.

3. In the grid, the shortcut for DIRT2 shows a folder icon, and the shortcut opens my PNGs folder, not the game (as shown on that window).

-The grid problem happens only with the games folder, the STUF is also grid, but it has no problems.


So please, any idea? some idea to fix at least 1 problem?


PD: I found that, with every restart, i got a shortcut missing, so, after 5 restarts i have no shortcuts on my dock.


PD: this topic kinda sux, they help 1 of every 10 questions

I've got a problem here:

I added a Plants vs Zombies shortcut to xWindows Dock 5.6 which worked perfectly

the next day, the icon disappeared but the title still appears on mouseover and it takes up the original space

nothing happens if I click it
(the game is not corrupted as I can still execute it without any problems)

I can't delete the item on the dock as it doesn't show any item-specific options upon right-clicking

help please D:

^Can't add shortcuts to the dock, must be direct links. You're going to have put the path up to the original application. This is with me though.

Anyone know how to fix this error? It does this every time on start up.

I've got a little problem here and I don't know how to fix it....
When i click on an icon to open a window it always appear in a minimized window. What can I do to see it as a maximized window as soon as I click on it?

I need help, whenever i restart my pc and laptop running xwindows dock the icons mix up become unusable and i have to reconfig the whole dock. It's a pain it the ass, please reply asap

@delapp15 - have to tried upgrading to version 2.0. This was a complete rebuild of the dock and seems to be more stable.

@chekole - Your post will keep getting deleted, you have nothing constructive to say expect "get stardock". Keep that up and you'll be sitting in the bleachers for a while.

Hey, I just downloaded XWD and runs great. The problem is, whenever I try to change the stack background color, it just changes automatically to white. Any ideas? BTW, I'm using Windows 7.

Second problem, whenever i open a video file it tells me that i dont have an associate program. Even tho i have VLC. Can u guys help me?

Did you install the docklet in the docklet folder in the xwindows directory? No XWD2.0.2 is totally different from 5.4 right now.

Ya i did that, but i dont know wut should happen afterwards :/
Okay well i downloaded a docklet from the thread here and it says v5.6 and mine is 2.0.2.0...could that be the problem?

i have a problem with xmail 0.30 getting error message : error connecting with ssl, i have windows 7 and XWD V5.6 i`ve google it and noting can somebody help me?

I'm using xwindows dock 5.6 under windows 7\32bit. When start OS, I get this messages in event viewer (see screenshots 1 and 2). After 20-30 minutes or 1 hour, get application popups with the errors (screenshot 3 and 4). How to fix that? Any suggestions? Thanks.
