Hello guys, long time no see :)

Been thinking about resurrecting RK Launcher with the arrival of the new Visual Studio 2010
so do you think it's worth continuing development after all this time ?

Been a very long time indeed! Thought you ditched this project a long time ago!

It would be brilliant to see you continue RK Launcher with potential new features suitable for Windows 7 and further. Do remember though, a lot of people don't visit this forum and your dock is one of the most popular docks out there. I'm sure a lot of people who don't see this thread will want you to continue the development of this fantastic dock.

Looking forward to seeing your great work!

I think it's great!
I'll use it after 2 years of using OS without dock.
Because it's the best of the best dock!
Keep it up!

DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's the best and smoothest dock i ever saw - make it ready for win7 (maybe with 64bit support) with a good installer and backup option. it's one of the most helpful things for windows and a eyecandy too. please continue working - you will like it, many thanks in advance!

I would be very happy if an update of RK Launcher came about! I've been using it for years and will not miss it on any computer, that I work on. I too am of the opinion, that most people using RK Launcher just haven't found this forum yet - I know of at least 6-7 other users in my close circle of friends.

What I'd very much like to see in a new version would be better (or even native) StackDocklet support, a working RecycleBin and an update to the CPUMonitor docklet. The RecyleBin stopped working under Windows 7 (32bit as well as 64bit), where as the CPUMonitor (it is a YZDock docklet) works perfectly on 32bit, but doesn't show the CPU load on 64bit Windows 7.

Especially the CPUMonitor issue is driving me mad, since I have gotten so used to it. If somebody can help with this issue and knows how to make the CPUMonitor work properly with Windows 7 64bit, please post here!

So I really hope this announcement is followed by actual releases! Looking forward to it...

After 2 months of the original announcement, I don't think he meant to use the word 'soon'....

My opinion. I like the way it is. Light, Simple and Sweet. we can add anything (through docklets) whatever we want. So there's no need for anything. Wht I mean is please don't fill it with all tht gadgets and heavy stuffs. It'll make it slow. But please do update it to make it stable (though I never had any problem with RKlauncher). and one more thing .. RKlauncher ROCKS :D :D

It is nice, very nice, and I hope you continue development!!!!!

One feature I would REALLY like is multiple monitor support. So it could be displayed on any one monitor.

Hi Radu, long time indeed, but your DOCK resurrection is waited by all those using customizable systems. Many have already requests, but they have first to wait for a version that suits new M$ OS'es. I was part of the project on Windows Edge where there appeared some developments under Yoni's guidance. For the moment I am really happy to hear (even after half a year) your aim. Congratulations on making this fine app that still runs on every 32 bit M$ system. Posted Image

YES definately! RkLauncher is an amazing program! It's the most stable and un-bloated dock i've used, it's sweet and simple and smooth on the surface, but powerful under the hood. PLEASE Keep it un-bloated.
Maybe the open-source community can help to nut out the bugs that plague it's current state if you haven't the time for it anymore.

The only two things that really affect is that my start menu gets graphics glitches after i mouse over rkLauncher (and the magnification function or margin hotspot function effect it) (see bug report here: Post 544 AND Adding Multi-Monitor support would be a God-send!.

A powerful and customisable stack docklet that works with rkLauncher would be great also! as it would almost be enough for me so that i could replace my start menu with rkLuancher for all it's beautiful eye candy; although i think RKlauncher has a long way to go before it can be stable enough for that.

Fingers crossed that rkLauncher matures a bit more, thank you!!

You guys realize he is NEVER going to resurrect this? He said that over a year ago look at the date. It's dead. Good launcher too. I can't even get it to work
anymore though. :(

Bueno ...
