Do you think you can program 2.0.0 so that it's possible to make only some areas reflective?
Something like this.
Yes and no. It's possible only for icons' reflection, but not for windows' and desktop's.

Oh, it's perfectly fine with only icon reflections. I disable the other reflections anyway (gets too cluttered if everything is reflected).
Whatever you decide to do, 2.0 is going to be great

In XWD 5.6, when yo drag an item an drop into stack folders, the item is copied an not moved. I think that may be interesting to have this behaviour configurable, because stack folders are nice sites to organize information from other folders only dragging on it.
regards.

Hey bobah, I noticed something that is really interesting to implement: when you place a icon on a stack, you don't see the indicator of the app is running anymore. I think that would be nice if I can still see if the app is running or not.
Other thing (that might be not liked by everybody) is to show on the stack at panel that there are apps runing. I mean, on stack icon, show something that let user know that there is an app placed inside it that's running.
For now, thats all

I hope it will work with Rainmeter. When the Rainmeter is running, XWD's icons will not magnify.

Hi all.
I see that people wait for magnify and other icons' effects. In the first realese you won't see any icons' effect in the dock. I still think about how to create this system of effects. Will see.
Thanks.

Patience

Remember this is a BETA release, not the full fledged release yet. That's why effects will be lacking. Plus, you won't have the same docklets available for this program until people develop them (right?). It's all part of the process, lots of patience will be needed unless you want a rushed product.

will we still be able to edit icons in stacks ?
an will the genie effect be fixed at the top of the window (I mean in mac when you minimize the top of the window firsts gets a bit rounded and the it goes down)
I Know it might appear to be details but hey! that's how the developers really made the best windows dock

1. Waiting for stacks only in the 2th release.
2. Windows' minimization is not top-priority task for now.

If it wont have stacks in the beta, i wont use it but ill test it, but ill definatly use the final release.
and, I like how xwindows uses genie effect to minimise AND maximise, unlike rk launcher

so i cant wait for 2.0.0 final release so i can finally get rid of annoying rk launcher. (it cant even properly handle 2 or more stacks)
and as for the icons, that was very nice how you didn't need them to be ico files, they could be png. So when you get around to adding stacks (no rush) plz keep that

Do not forget, dock supports 2 API: XWD API & OD API

it means that dock can have many docklets from OD (but not everyone, several have problems with XWD), but of course you should create plugins only using XWD API (cause it's native API).
So for the first beta you can free use Stack Docklet from Matonga, at the second release I will implement Container Plugin (stacks using XWD API)
