Why is it so big when I install it? It looks like a 2D dock. Could you make it smaller? It looks great otherwise.

It is the actual size of the apple dock on my monitor. Could you please upload a screen shot so i could see it on your resolution?

This is what it looks like with this theme. The back of the panel is above the tops of the icons.

Actually though, after playing around, I noticed that other themes do this as well. Is there a setting for the actual dock that I am missing to make the panel smaller without making the icons smaller?

Unfortunately you can not do it,there is no easier way to do it except modifying skin it self with tools which are located into tools folder.

you cn adjust the distance of the icons from the buttom of the dock... right click on XWD then preferences then select ICONS then go to SPACE BETWEEN ICONS AND BOTTOM OF PANEL and adjust it a little bit higher.... on my side i set to 20 pixels... hope this could help you....
