Hi,

I'm working on a samurize config, and would like to use a nice, easily readable font, that renders well in small size, not bold, white on dark background.
It can be pixel font as well, but I'd like to avoid using too squaree fonts like hooge. [Edit] Nope, rather not pixel/bitmap fonts, but some basic sans serif font recommendations please. [/Edit]

Currently I'm using Tahoma, but I'm not comforatble with it. This is how it looks like in action (see the bottom bar): http://ethsza.deviantart.com/art/Screencap...April-118728036

What would be your recommendation?

Try Helvetica, Cidre, Gill Sans.

Gill Sans seems to be better readable, less blurry than tahoma.
Yesterday I have found Cidre amongst others on dafont.com, but Gill Sans, which I had originally on my PC looks better, thanks for the hint KAWSquared.

BTW is there any way to preview fonts in little size, preferably with configurable background / font colors? Windows font preview shows 12px fonts, and font sites preview even bigger sizes. When I use them in Samurize, most of the fonts start to look OK from 12-14 pixels, so it's hard to find anything that looks well in 8-9 px size. And the pixel/bitmap fonts are too square in these sizes as well.
