ok so i'm trying to install some new themes and i need help. i patched the system files with vistaglazz, and i extracted my theme to C:\windows\resources\themes but i can't apply it. is it cuz there's no .theme file? it's only a folder with a msstyle.mui file and 2 folders called shell and en. so can any1 help? thanks.

edit: i have vista sp1.

1. I've XP but maybe this applies to Vista too... I have no .theme files at all (except for Luna & Classic), and I'm able to select any of my VStyles (Tiger and LeopardXP, plus Windows default ones).

2. Try double-clicking the .msstyles / msstyle.mui file, and see if this applies the theme.

Are your msstyles for vista? You cannot use XP themes.

yes they are for vista.

edit: i've tried it with several vista themes including zeusosx themes and none of them work

u should use windows blinds 6.4
its really fast and only uses 1.5k memory.

Try to install VistaGlazz again.

ok. i'll try. i really hope it works cuz i'm just using this one theme right now and it's not that great and i can't change it to a good one!

I guess there are different versions for "SP0" an SP1.
