Ok, before anyone jumps on me, I searched for itunes problems and none solved mine. So, like a lot of other people, my installation of FAKOSX froze on the installation of Mplugin.dll. So, I ended the task, reboot, and everything was fine. Then I tried to run iTunes, and I got this message:

iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found

!The procedure entry point RegOpenKeyW could not be located in the dynamic link library MPlugin.dll.

For one, I got some other message before that, but I read that I should delete all the MPlugin's there were on my computer, and then I got this message. I reinstalled iTunes and Quicktime, but I get the same message. And before that (Sorry if this is all out of order), I uninstalled MPlugin via the FAKOSX uninstaller. Its still not working. I have no idea what to do, and I have searched the forums and there is still no solution for me.

Please help, but since I'm pretty much a newbie at computers, could you please detail steps to solve? Thanks.

I tried something else, and I got it to work. I had to uninstall iTunes (as I said) but then you have to delete the iTunes folder from your Program Files completely, then reinstall. Just in case for other users.

Hey,

Just a little piece of advice. Be patient with your comp. Canceling an installation because it seemed it froze is not really a good idea. Specially one that messes with important files.

Cheers

I have the same problem with iTunes and yes my installer froze on installation of that same file. Don't tell me I wasn't patient I let it sit for 3 hours and nothing happened. I ended the task and the minute I hit "Turn off computer", it unfroze and just completed installing before my comp shut down. I rebooted and everything was fine (except itunes of course)
