I am running Avedesk 1.4 on Vista.

and I'm having problem with desktop icons.

When I create a shortcut item on desktop for a folder, it works fine.

But if it is shortcut for a file(jpg,avi,txt,etc.), it does not work perfectly.

when I double click on it to open it, an error occurs and it says,

"An attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist."

and to fix this problem, I have to go to Desklet Properties for the item

and put the directory of the file in the Start In on the Shortcut tab.

I was trying to use Desktop Grabber, and I have to do this everytime

a new desktop file was added.

Another problem is when I select the desktop shortcut and press ctrl+c or v or x

an error occurs again and this time it says,

"The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in
the Set Associations control panel."

There is a part where it says "Desktop Icons not supported" on information for Avedesk 1.4 version.

I wonder if these errors have to do anything with it, and is there anyway I can fix these problems?
