@all skinners with individual download threads:
This is the result of our poll "How should skins be kept?"
. Only one, centralized, sticky, release-only thread where you can find all published skins: 24 votes, 80.00%
. Many scattered, non-sticky, open for commenting thread; many skins can be published: 6 votes, 20.00%
. Voters:
30.
This
confirms that the single, centralized thread approach is, by far, the best for our users.
This way, in order to conciliate this user-friendly approach with the skinner's desire of receiving feedback, I ask you to do the following:
1. Create a post at
Skins and Support Files for v5.4 (if you already have a post there, just update it) and put your download link
only* at this post;
2. Remove the download link from your individual thread;
3. Insert at your thread
a link to your post at the Skins thread.
This way both necessities are contemplated!
I hope having this sorted out by the end of Jan/26.
*About posting at both threads: I'm afraid it'll only make things more confusing than it's needed. Even if you manage maintaining both posts synchronized (more work for you...), nothing assures me that others will do the same (more work for me!) and besides, if you keep a direct link from your thread to your release post at the 'Skins and Support Files for v5.4' thread, whoever finds your thread will also find your skins. This is almost the same thing - will work almost like before - but will greatly help me keeping things organized in the long run.
I'm pretty sure I can count on your comprehension and support!
Cheers,
Panta.
