I just installed Avedesk 1.3 and saved over the .exe with the Vista Compatibility update, I've downloaded the random .dll file and put it in the folder and the program has started up fine. I then installed sysstats into the Avedesk folder because it's needed for lots of desklets which I like the look of. I got this far on my own but I have a few questions.

1) .aveinst files don't run when clicked, vista doesn't know what to do with it I guess because I'm getting a "Windows cannot open file - select application or use web service" window. I tried selecting Avedesk as the application to open the file but nothing happened. How should I solve this?

2) Are there any other add-on type things (like sysstats) which it would be a good idea to install? What is AveScripter for example? Was that included in the Avedesk installation?

EDIT - Also, when I go to add desklets and double click the sysstats widget Avedesk crashes. This is somewhat annoying, same thing happens if I click the create new sysstats config desklet.

EDIT - OK. I figured out how to get the aveinst files to work, but any widget I load which uses sysstats causes Avedesk to crash, windows performs a check to diagnose the problem and when it can't figure out what's wrong, it says the program has to close. I installed the latest sysstats by extracting it to the avedesk folder, is there any way that might have gone wrong? Does anyone know what the problem might be?
