this is def. a windowblinds skin bug, and not RKl fault.

try to use any other theme to see if your problem persists. It could also be a third party app you use to put shadows on the windows (yz shadow).

It must have something to do with rkl, because the shadows diseapears when I close it.

I've been running RK and YzShadow for years and never had this problem unless running software crashes then a shadow remains until I refresh the desktop.

Are you guys running YzShadow or WindowsFx?
Did you install RK with Flyakite, or just as a standalone?
I also notice your running Vista, has the glass effect been switched off?

One solution maybe to uninstall then re-installing any shadowing software.

Sorry but I can't believe it's RK that's causing the problem, it seem like it, but there has to be something else involved.

Final suggestion is remove RK completely, if you have a separate drive move/install RK there and see what happens. RK can also run from a USB drive too.
There should not be any registry entries made, unless of course you installed it with Flyakite, which I'm not sure if RK writes any to the registry as I've never used it.
