Hey everyone, pretty new to this customization thing, I got one going now, I used the VistaOSX package (I don't really care for it right now, I prefer the buttons to be on the left side) I had customized my late XP system far with Mac themes (using flyakite, though it messed me all up after the Window Blinds program trial ended.). But with my new Vista, I want to get this going all over again! So, what do you guys recommend I do for themes and such?

My taste is dark, so I prefer grey-black themes (dull white will work) but buttons on the left is a must! I would love to have that little tab button that interacts winroll for me! Any suggestions? I have Objectdock, Rocket Dock, and now RK launcher, I'm set for docks, lol. I've patched my uitheme or whatever it is. I have SP1, 32bit. 2gb ram, 60gb hard drive, AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 1.80 ghz.

Any advice for me?

1.)Windowblinds will get your buttons on the left. Nothing else.
2.)Customizing vista... LOL.
3.)But if you're serious about it, most themes out there would be compatible/semi compatible with vista.

Any program that doesn't crash my appearance when the silly trial ends? Because I used Window Blinds on my XP before it crashed and when the trial ended I spent 3 days fixing my appearance after it screwed it up.

On vista, use clearglazz to enable other VS.
and Leftsider(freeware) will get your buttons on the left. Nothing else.

Yeah, I have looked for "leftsider" on google and came up with nothing, any links you can throw my way would be supremely helpful.

Much thanks! Do I need to restart for it to work fully, because it puts the buttons on the left side...for windows that are like folders and such, but for Firefox the buttons are on the right side, do you think a restart would fix this problem?

It worked fine for me, straight away. Are you 64bit? I heard that it doesn't work right on 64bit machines. (Though when in doubt, reboot )

Nah, I'm 32bit. I'll try rebooting, hopefully it will work all the way.

Nope, didn't work. It just doesn't put the buttons on the left for my browser (Firefox, and apparently IE).

I fixed it. I just had to go into the status tray and toggle it off and then on and it started putting it on the left for all my windows. Thanks for the links and the help guys!
