It seems really unstable, crashy, and doesn't change my message window at all.

What am I doing wrong?

Make sure you're using the newest version of IEView.

As far as I remember, you can't use IEView with SRMM. You need TabSRMM. After that, you need to download an IEView template from http://addons.miranda-im.org/index.php?action=display&id=83 amd install it.

When you're done with that, open Miranda's options and go to

Message Sessions -> IEView -> Message Log -> Use Template

to activate your skin.

Don't forget: Make sure you have the latest version of IEView and Internet Explorer installed!

Yeah, I've done/get all of that, which is my problem.
Err, dunno about IE, but it's IE7.
I also use the updater plugin, so it should be up-to-date.

Maybe the latest version of IEView is not totally compatible with the latest stable version... I always use the development builds and never had a problem with them.

Please try the following:

- Backup your current Miranda IM installation
- Intall the latest development build (simply compare the two installations and copy new files to your installation folder)

IEView worked fine, but my contacts list vanished, oddly no matter what list I used, from the default, to modern, or nicer... Only mydetails was visible.

That's really strange... What database are you using? Please try dbx_mmap.dll instead of dbx_3x.dll

I'm not sure if IEview is compatible with tabsrmm. I think it's only compatible scriver.

Plus, tabsrmm is fugly as hell. Scriver is good.

Err, IEView is compatible with tasbrmm, pretty much always has been. Scriver is alright, but has nowhere near the amount of options as tasbrmm, plus, with the ability to make message windows skins, tabsrmm > Scriver.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with that.
