i am looking for a windows app that will let me organize my divx/avi ,movie collectio, such as itunes would with mp3. i am trying to keep divx format and not convert.

a good solution is
Movienizer, it allows not only to organize your movies by categories, genres, year, rating etc, but also download all information about a movie from many intenet databases. You can save the info and update it any time, create and add screenshots, download covers and photos of actors. It aslo has a build-in player, and you can play DVD and AVI movies directly from the program.
