I updated the file gallery for registered users, it's even better now! Also I added a public gallery, so you can make your files available to others if you want.

Are your claims of storing your files in space accurate? Are your servers actually situated off-planet?
I lol'd. With "in space" i mean in webspace
But would be a nice idea

Dear schmrom, your file sharing site got me really interested. The Views column I see in my gallery is the number of times the file has been "seen" or is it actually the number of downloads?
Also, is there some way to get a statistics graphic with downloads per day during the last 30 days, for each file?

Dear Matonga, thanks for these two things. I will add the times downloaded right now. After that I will make a statistics graphic.
I'm really surprised by the ease of use of this site.
I'll be eagerly awaiting for those updates.
I started creating file2go because i hated all the services which where so complicated. Ease of use is one of the main things I am trying to keep.
PS: The statistics (downloads per day for the last 30 days) are already recorded, but there isn't a graphic for displaying it yet. Working on it when I will be at home
Sry for doubleposting, but I hope this is what you wanted matonga
The Link to the Statsfile will be available in fileview.

Any update on file2go.net? Been down the past few days and was wondering what the eta was for it being back up?

It has been a long time ago, that I posted here, but now I am back.
Currently I am thinking about the future of File2Go. There hasn't been a update for about 6 months now, because I didn't had the time to update the page. So here are a few things about File2Go.
What needs to be done?
- Update of the design
- Rewrite of some components
- Recreation of the filetype icons
I also need to find a way to earn some money with File2Go. So here are also some facts about it.
- 593 hosted files
- about 50 registered Users
- about 2 Uploads a day
- about 1GiB traffic each month
So what do YOU think I should change? What do you think I can improve? What do you think I should do?
(I am also thinking about stopping the File2Go project or selling the code if someone is interested.)

After three years of completely free file hosting, File2Go is closing the doors. Until now I've been completely self-funding this project, but File2Go needs to find a way to pay its bills before it can make a comeback.
So I thank you for using this service and maybe I will bring File2Go back online some time.
Yours Roman Schmerold, Administration & Development
