Do admins administrate or do they float in higher spheres? Rate Topic: -----

I've sent a request to 3 administrators respectively super moderators (2 weeks ago, saturday and on monday 20th).
At least two of them were online after I sent the messages.
One of them was online while I sent the message.

Therefore I wonder is something wrong with the PM system or maybe I'm to stupid using it correctly, because until now I haven't received any reply.
A "no, that's not possible" or whatever answer would've been fine for me.

I understand that I'm not the only one who sends you - the admins - messages.
However if someone has enough time to post comments or open threads about what mouse to buy he should also be able to respond to PM's.

I'm looking forward receiving a concrete answer.

Thanks + Regards

Chris

Sometimes I don't get reponses either... try again maybe?

Can't speak to your situation but, the admin's deserve to enjoy the forums and not spend every free minute administering.

Sometimes your pm may get buried in the Inbox. Depending on the type of question it may have already been answered somewhere. Also, it may require discussion.

Jef floats in a higher sphere and I would too if I got to relax in a nice tropical location.

What is your request? If you can state it publicly, I suggest you do so. Perhaps it's something SirSmiley or I or another staff member could help you with?

I want to close my account!

Therefore I'd like to have all my - in the meantime 4 - threads and - including this - 12 posts deleted.
According to the FAQ's and also depending on how the admin/moderator has defined the settings I can only edit posts.

Thus why should I start a thread when I already know the answers I'm going to receive?
Which would be e.g. :-):

I took the direct way and sent messages to 2 Administrators who were recently active and to the Super Moderator of the section I started the thread.
For my understanding they are the only persons who have the authorization to delete something.

We do not "delete" accounts, or users posts for no reason. If you have some reason you must stay off this site, we can ban your account. But we will not remove it, unless there is a valid reason for doing so.

Hi Timan.

Pardon me!
Do I get it right?

If I made an offensive comment then it'd be no problem to delete the threads/posts and to ban the account.

However when I explicitly ask you to delete my threads/posts because I don't want to be a member of the forum anymore then you can't delete anything?

Furthermore where can I find a "cancel my membership" button. If you offer me the possibility to become a member I should also have the chance to quit the account. I think that's a must!!! Or is an aqua-soft.org membership a membership for life??

I can't find any information on this neighter in your FAQ's nor in the Guidelines.
Maybe you should point out when someone creates an account that he/she can't delete it later. When you're already member it's to late.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe I overlooked it.

Last but not least I'd like to have my account banned and all my posts and threads deleted since I infringed rule 4.14 of the guidelines:

Quote

4.14. If any user is found to have more than one Aqua-Soft account without the express permission of the admins, that user will receive a lifetime ban from Aqua-Soft, and have their accounts (and, at the admins' discretion, their posts) removed. Actions of this nature are considered tantamount to spam and, as such, are expressly forbidden at Aqua-Soft.

I have a second account: "chrfb", join date: 05-26-2006. If you check the settings - as an admin this shouldn't be a problem - you'll see that i probably have the same e-mail address as for my current account. However I can't remember the pw.

Alright, I'll make it easy for ya, I'll ban ya but your account will stay on the forums. Just don't visit the site/login anymore if you do not wish to use your account.
