See, first I'd do free hosting to see if my site gets enough traffic, if goes well, NOW will be the time to get vBulletin, which I do not like as much as phpbb can come. I don't want to waist all that money for nothing to happen :P

+1, i HATE it. My favorite out of all is IPB. If I could (not possible right now) I would use IPB on my own server

That's how CTMD is going to work soon. Gonna happily flick off GoDaddy's outrageous conditions and use our own server on our own connection to host the site. Much faster, more efficient, etc. Which is great, because no calling tech support in india and having to wait 4 hours on hold just for them to tell you "it will be back shortly". :).

2 weeks tops, just until this month runs out on GoDaddy's server... then we're free!

You know what, here's a tip.

If you don't want to spend money (or if you don't have it) on expensive hosting for a site, do it yourself. Back in the wee days of MySillyPC, the site ran on an old Pentium III 900MHz with 192MB of RAM, on Windows 2000. The site ran outstanding with it. So if you have an old machine laying around, with a good ISP, you're in the clear. Just shell out $10 a year for a domain and you're in business.
