Being drunk somtimes leads to good things!

Fixed some Vista Compatibility problems:

FixedVista problems:
+ fading / setalpha no longer results in a black background
+ Desktop Icon no longer supported

FixedMultimonitor problems:
 + ShowCase offset problems

Fixed Other problems:
+ ATLASSERT() errors in shadow dialogs are gone
+ DX animations now on older hardware also
+ warns when SysStats is run without admin rights (compat. prob.)

How?
Overwrite your previous version (1.3 / 2.0) with this new AveDesk.exe. Be sure to remove the Languages folder!

Download

WHY?
You gotta thank my girlfriend for occupying the shower for such a long time period that I started fixing bugs.

yay!

edit:this isn't working
it said it needed d3dx9_36.dll in order to run
after getting it, it crashes as soon as i start it up (caused an error and needed to close)
running vista ultimate if it matters

That's good news for the new year! :)

Although I'm not using Vista yet, one day I'll have to do the step... and I really would've missed AveDesk! So thanks a lot for this one!! :D

AFAIK you only have to run SysStats with admin rights once. Has this changed?

I think that's a DirectX component. You can always download the dll from http://www.dll-files....shtml?d3dx9_36 then extract the dll to your avedesk and sys32 folder

AndreasV, thanx a lot for the release, and pls keep going.

Note: I´m running Vista Ultimate and also got the d3dx9_36.dll error but it went away as soon I put this file in avedesk.exe's folder (downloaded from http://w3.externet.h.../GSdx9v10-3.rar).

Even though I placed the d3dx9_36.dll and deleted the language folder still made Avedesk crash... :(
