i got a problem with judge's great weather script.

when it gets cache files...it opens a second client.exe-file which updates
itself and then it closes....but the client.exe-file that was open first doesnt
update.

does anybody know this problem by any chance ? <_<

it really bores hell out of me and i tried several things but nothing worked.

please, if anybody knows what to do, gimme some response.

check the script settings. you have to choose the samurize instance you want. maybe that's the problem. while you're at it, go ahead and make other changes, like changing www to w3, and making sure the samurize location is correct.

i changed www to w3 (i think this doesnt matter anyway9

instance is "instance -3" because i got 2 other scripts running.

hmm, well i know that when it restarts the client, another one pops up, and so i end up with a bunch of samurize icons. i've never seen it close itself though, and i've never seen the original client not update.*

*except one time when my script crashed or something. deleted the temp files (the html ones) and then reloaded the config, and then it would update the weather info and pngs.

**recently it's been opening up a second client and leaving it there, so now i just disable the restart client and leave it as is, reloading the config whenever i want up-to-date weather.

yes it's annoying....after the second client has closed...i can reload the first (original)
config which is then showing the updated data of the second client-exe.


so my problem in other words:
the first client-exe makes start a second client-exe-file which is connecting to
the weather-website and gets the data. it closes then automtically. but the first
client-exe shows these data only after i reloaded it manually :nuts:

yeah i think i should give it up with that samurize script...but this is really
disappointing <_<

good news:

i changed the instance of the shortcut (in properties) to "weather" (shortcut: "C:\program files\samurize\client.exe" weather) and now it works...
but my firewall shows one client-exe-application more after each update...so i have no words...i only can smile at it
