I have a website... it is a personal website so I would rather not share... I can tell you it is ___.blogspot.com I was wondering if I could get it to be ___.com and then just automatically redirect to ____.blogspot.com... I wanted to do this for free too. Thanks.

well, you could buy a domain name, then find a server and upload a html file with the following code:

<meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html">

you just put in your URL.

It's not free however since u need another host+domain
And also that would be kinda pointless because if it redirects the url changes

Also, maybe blogspot has an option to use a domain name and then you just make it redirect to their name server or something like that?

That would defeat the purpose. The whole thing I'm trying to do is complete the task for free. Thanks anyways.

As far as I know, the only free giveaways are subdomains.

i think this is the best you'll get... completely free, but you need to have an image link back to them.

there is also http://www.co.cc

your url would look like http://www.yoursite.co.cc
It doesn't require for you to link it back to them or anything ;)

Another choice is www.i67.org
yoursite.i67.org or yoursite.xt.cx

Thanks. I think it is best the co.cc. I'll try it.

EDIT: it still might be easier to remember ____.blogspot.com

you can't get rid of it with .tk
without getting your account possibly removed...

The following code will remove the top add bar on your .tk site :D
<head>

<script type="text/javascript">

<!--

if (top.location != self.location) top.location = self.location

// -->

</script>

</head>

;)

I had my .tk account closed one day, presume it was cos I was using that code, but it didn't matter, it's not like you can't re-register your .tk account name again...

I am going to buy a domain. I want to buy ____.com and I wanted to do this paying about $7.00 a year. I don't need a lot of extra features. I just want to be able to upload one html file for the home page. Thanks.
