Thread moved to correct forum. I think you've been here long enough to figure out what forum to put this in.

Personally, I try to limit my use of "cursive" writing here.
Really though this subject is (not to sound redundant) ...subjective at best.

When a word becomes common place in it's usage can it really be termed a swear word?

Also, if they have meaning and are used sparingly then I don't see the issue. Of course I'm not talking about religious or the nastiest ones.

I'm sorry if you're twelve years old and your parents don't like you hearing/reading "bad words." However, this board exists somewhere we call the real world. People swear-- it happens. Deal with it.

Can we at least avoid the S-word? (S-hmengie)

@SirSmiley: Please put your clothes back on. With moderating comes great responsibility, you know. Or at least turn off your webcam!

Swearing to be offensive, to be destructive, or for no literary or artistic purpose is not allowed.

Swearing as a means of enhancing meaning in a statement is allowed.

Basically, if what you said wasn't offensive and the swearing served a constructive purpose, you're fine.
