"New Posts" registers as a search.. is their anyway you guys could set up a newposts or somthing to save your members the 1 click? or is there somthing like that already that I'm missing?

you could bookmark http://www.aqua-soft...h.php?do=getnew (that is the link you can see under the New Posts button at the top)

Dreadnaut nailed it. I actually used to have that as a bookmark, but decided I liked the straight forum index more.

and the trailing slash doesn't make it happy :D

the redirect is fine, however if I write /board/newposts it takes me to /board/search.php?do=getnew, while if I write /board/newposts/ it keeps the trailing slash and takes me to /board/search.php?do=getnew/ that doesn't work.

Since newposts is supposed to be a (virtual) directory, the rewrite rule should take into account a slash at the end and remove it
