What is this exactly for? Is it a special iTunes version that can be used without installing it or what is it? Could you please give us some descriptions? And please use another mirror and not RapidShare. What about deviantART, for example?

Yes, it's a ,uh, portable version of iTunes that doesn't require installation. It's made with Thinstall. It will use your current library if you have itunes installed but in that case you wouldn't need to use this anyway.

@ shmengie: Let me say it this way: It could have also been a special version of iTunes for portable devices, like a Mobile Phone or something else, so I think my question was justifiable.

@ Sartre: Will you update this app regularly?

to be able to take your music library (sorted just as you like it) with you! whether it be on a flash drive or external usb Hard drive.

great for people who dont necessarily have an iPod. Or people who just want to be able to play thier favourite tunes at school, work, college, university or wherever they (and stupid Admin restrictions) might be...

(I assume the above is correct, I have no use myself for this program, nor have I used it, correct me if im wrong Sartre)

I couldn`t get this to work with Windows Vista.

And it would be very nice to have it work with the Global Multimedia Keys Plugin:

I ran this portable iTunes but it didn't detect my iPod. I ran the diagnostics and it said the helper service wasn't running. I wish that could be fixed.
