Hi guys. I have a Intel nx6310 business notebook, centrino duo processors, 1 gig ram, and a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950 graphics chipset(a 945 G, or a Mobile GMA 950). I've had the default drivers out of the box, with highest res being 1024 x 768. I talked to a computer repair guy friend recently who said I could definately get better drivers. After a good look through the Intel site, I can't find any drivers for it....Help?

It said that it wasn't validated for this computer. I know for a FACT now I have a intel GMA 945GM chipset. Help?

yes here is the link: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/scripts-df...D=2115&lang=eng select your operating system and download the graphics accelerator might have to keep pressing a few links for it to download lol

I did. I selected windows XP and downloaded and that's what I said.

FOUND! http://downloadcenter.intel.com/scripts-df...D=2301&lang=eng This will 100% work with your computer. The first drivers where for PC's not Laptop's this one is for you. Intel 945GM not just 945. The first ones didn't work because they where for a Desktop Computer

If you're saying that 1024 x 768 is the issue you are facing, and if your HP notebook (nx6310) comes with 15" display then this is the display spec HP has posted on it's site :

15.0-inch XGA BrightView (1024 x 768 resolution and 16 M colors)
15.0-inch SXGA+ wide viewing angle (1400 x 1050 resolution and 16 M colors)

So if your display is 14.1" or 15" XGA then that's the MAX resolution you will get on your display regardless the drivers.

BUT... if that's not the issue, then please specify problem you are facing (with screenshot if possible), because after reading your posts so far (at least) I'm enable to understand what issue/problem you are having.

AH that should have worked. Go to the HP website and search for drivers

wow wait a minute... I think that IS the biggest resoultion you can get. It depends on your monitor not the drivers like iGo said

Hello everyone it's good to be here.

I am having a problem specifically related to the GMA-950 videochipset and I'm hoping you can help me:

I have a Mini PC from XenarcDirect that I use in my car only for music. It's an *MP-SC10 Mini Pentium Mobile Aluminum Car PC* The video chipset is a SiS Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. This chipset has recently been giving me problems.

The PC is connected to an external VGA touchscreen monitor and what happens is, everytime I turn on my car, it boots Windows just fine but I get no video display. I took it back to Xenarc and according to the tech guy there, it's a driver issue, and it causes the video output to default back to it's native display, which it thinks is an attached notebook display.

Even after setting it numerous times to output to the 2nd monitor(my in dash touchscreen) as my PRIMARY display, it defaults back to the "notebook" monitor upon rebooting. Of course, this is not a notebook PC, so naturally there is no notebook display to look at, and therefore I have no way of navigating through Windows. Now...there *IS* a HotKey combination(Ctrl+Alt+F1) that I can supposedly press to force the video chip to output to the second monitor, but guess what?...that doesn't work most of the time either. For some reason I can only get the hotkey to actually work once in a while.

This is VERY frustrating and I don't know what else to do. I want a set of video drivers for the GMA-950 that doesn't do this. Has anyone else experienced this issue with drivers for this video chipset before? Is it a known issue?
