I'd like to make a suggestion, regarding moved threads, and there seems to be more and more everyday.
I'm a bit of a neat and tidy freak and I believe all the moved threads are making the forum look a tad for the want of another word untidy.
I'd like to suggest these threads, once they have been moved, deleted from the original sub forum.
I hear you say how will the poster know where it's been moved to. Perhaps in this case an auto PM could be sent to the starter with the new link.
Is this doable or just complete nonsense?

That's actually mostly my fault, since I've been operating under a misconception for a while now, namely, that if a thread was not "redirected" (the backend term for it), then the original URL would no longer work. Since I rarely look at forum indexes, I didn't realize what this was actually doing, which was completely against my original intent anyway. I checked and original URLs still work, so there's really no reason for me to move threads with redirects.
I'll make sure this doesn't happen for new threads that I move, and if there are any particular threads that are bothering you, simply provide me with a URL and I'll remove the redirect. I'll also talk to Timan about removing the current redirects on a mass basis.
Thanks for alerting me to the situation (I think I was first clued in to the whole "Moved" thing a few days ago),

Thanks for taking the blame squarely on the chin NC.
It's good to know that the mods can make mistakes to and are big enough to stand up and admit it.
Just to make clear it was never meant as a criticism.

I don't make that mistake.
