Hullo, I'm clueless when it comes to fonts, and I only have the ones that comes with Win XP. It would be great if I could get some pointers, and I thought that this would be an nice thread since I can't find anything similar through search.

Post the name of your favorite fonts

To try to keep it in an orderly fashion:
a) Try to post with a download/purchase link
B) Let us know if it's a part of a set
c) Thumbnails would be beautiful :)

Moderator Edit:

Awesome thread idea. Renamed, moved, and stuck.

Other excellent fonts can be viewed at Praegnanz. Just click on the letters and find the download links. A PSD of my preview is available here. Also note that fonts are vector-based and are far more beautiful when printed or when rendered in PDF format. An example is my resume, which uses Day Roman and Gentium.

It's for all the weights and, more importantly, the rights to use them. Look at the slanted lettering on a white Apple Keyboard: that's Univers. It's used in print advertising for everything. A less complete but sufficient set is available for around 300 dollars. Creative people can also find it, though that won't happen here. ;)

Silkscreen is best pixel font. I would say the miniml pixel fonts are good, but I don't have any. :/

I like HandelGotD (More importantly, HandelGotDLig). Not a huge fan of HandelMod, smoothing HandelMod is kinda wierd. I remember I used to have Hei and loved it, but I kinda ditched it do to lack of characters (i.e. the 1/2 fraction, and others), anyone have a version of Hei with these characters? PM please :D
