be sure to uninstall itunes before doing this.
get the standalone quicktime installer, from here http://www.apple.com...wnload/win.html *it's the second option
(install this first)
then install itunes
I had this issue, it's because for some odd reason itunes isn't installing quicktime..lol

Thanks for such a quick release, it seems to be very stable for me.
A couple of things
-The installer still seems to hang when looking for an update I've had this problem for a couple of versions, not such a big deal but sometimes I forget to select the no-update option and I have to kill the process.
-As an avid fan of the foobar passthrough I really hope you are able to get it working again (although now with gapless as standard in iTunes I don't know exactly how much I'll need it).
Thanks again for the hard work:)

This version has the same problem previous versions did in Windows Vista. In the song list context menu, when you open the My Rating submenu , 5 blank error messages pop up in succession and then the menu stays on top, even if you switch to another app or Explorer.

causing iTunes to take a while to close after I exit the program
Are you running a program that might be accessing the scripting interface?
Mplugin supresses the warning that comes up when you try to close it while something is using this interface (ie. avetunes) so maybe that is why?

Well, everything works for me... until when I tried to launch iTunes with iTunes Controller for my global hotkey fix if Multi-Plugin's installed. It'll crash while launching either iTC/iTunes, I'm not too sure.
Now I have to run iTunes first before running iTC (I'm using v. 2.9, never liked their subsequent releases).
Other than that, it's all good, even to my surprise. Thanks.
