not with the current way the skinning engine works. I'll have to rewrite a big part of it from scratch. I'll do it sooner or later, but I don't know when I'll have the time,

Can somebody test this with a 5G iPod and see if it crashes with a large amount of files and post the results here? Thanks. :)

I followed localhost and ChimChim's instructions. I now get this :

I reinstalled iTunes and then reinstalled MPlugin and that didn't work. I also reinstalled without replacing the QuickTime.qts and that also didn't work. Any help? Thanks.

@Localhost: how do I enable regular caps for the source categories? I didn't dee it in the preferences pane.

(I've been posting too much, so I'll just edit this one)

Does anyone else have an issue with switching to mini mode?
It won't let me.

Foobar2000 passthrough will probably be gone for some time. Apparently iTunes doesn't play through waveOut even if it's explicitly specified in the QuickTime preferences, and muting DirectSound is harder (but possible, I'll just have to learn how).
I've also added a new feature - convert uppercase titles in the source pane (like PLAYLISTS) to normal ones (Playlists).
This will probably be a stable release - moving MPlugin.dll back to it's normal path made things a lot more stable.
If it doens't make problems by then, I'll post it tomorrow.

Hi,

I get an error like iSamurai's first one, and the error dialog wont exit. Help?

And I extracted files from the zip, exactly as told to.

WOW, maybe it's just luck, but this preview is working for me good
Only the RAM usage goes from 60 mb to 30 mb using the coverflow
This feature itself worth the use of the plugin (I love the eyecandy too)

Thanks so much for the quick effort. I really want to use iTunes 7, but must have my foobar passthrough. localhost, you mentioned you're having problems muting DirectSound. Forgive if I'm hopelessly off track here, but are you able to pass the sound through to Foobar, and are only having problems muting the other, normal path out of iTunes? If this is the case, I (and I'm guessing others) would be very happy to have something that outputs to Foobar without muting the normal output...I could do that by turning down my speakers (I use ASIO out of Foobar).

Again, there's a good chance I've misunderstood the challenge here. But just in case it could help me get foobar access any quicker, I had to mention it.

ohh I want multiplugin for Mac :( :P

PS- Shapeshifter on intel hardware does work in changing iTunes skins (found out using deanach skin)- although there are some faults- the button size/structure is different in 7 on those buttons under the source list and therefor they display a little weird...

but its good news... skinners should be able to overcome these problems and im looking forward to Mac OSX iTunes 7 skins... because the current skin is crap.

I'd skin Mac itunes myself, but only have knowledge in making skins for multiplugin... if someone wishes to port my older windows itunes 6 skins for multiplugin for itunes you can find them below;

I really want to thanks localhost for the work he's doing (and he's even incredibly fast! :o)
Then i want to ask if in the multiPlugin for iTunes7 is possible to insert something to manage the location of the single libraries (music, videos,etc...) and something to choose how save the files in a library (in the last version there was the option to eliminate the "unknown album" folders, it'll be nice if you can even choose to place in a single folder all the files renamed by metaTags; The skins I tried all looked a little wonky on my Windows 2000 system, and I preferred the .
