If there's someone who will make Avedesk 2 support Windows Vista, it has to be the developer, Andreas. :P

Here's a small example of things maybe to come: http://mpj.tomaatnet.nl/NewLayers.zip

1) Extract
2) run NewLayers.exe
3) right click for options
4) watch cpu usage

ps. graphics are all ripped from a MS widget.

This is amazing . Minimum cpu usage for me as if it isn't running .

Very nice. No increases during fade. Nice smooth transition.

Nice Ave...but one of the right-click options should be "close" :-)

CPU usage jumps from 2 to 4 PERCENT!!! That is totally unacceptable!

you have to download Avedesk 1.3 then copy Avedesk 2 to 1.3 - T/F
pay attention ! if you do this, you have to delete the languages folder, since 1.3 localization is not compatible with Avedesk 2.0, and the program will hang as soon as you open the control panel !

k,so ive been usin the beta for a while, runs smooth, rock solid as i said earlier.
however,im really finding the need to remove the "not so much used" desklets from the widgetdock,
i think only the desklets u frequently use or might use are useful to keep in widgetdock, the rest of them just clutterup the whole thing.
(besides, the ones not on widgetdock could be created from the control panel)
also ability to move the desklets within widgetdock(like rkl or objectdock) would be nice,so that u could put your favourite desklets on the 1st page and unused ones on the last page.

really love that animation when u drag the desklet out of the dock,

btw was just wondering, shouldnt it be called the deskletdock instead ???(i mean, since there are no widgets in avedesk)
just wondering....hehe

;)

There's been bugs with powdermount since before AveDesk 2.
