I downloaded the beta for AveScripter and a few of the top programs. But (and laugh if you must) I have no idea how to use any of this. Can someone give me a walkthrough. I can only get the AveDesk program open (because there's an icon in the installed folder.
How do I open AveScripter?
How do I use the programs like Avetunes or the digiclock?
How do you even use XML files?

I am lost and shamed.

If you look at the control panel, you'll find an option to add desklets.

If you want more help, you need to ask abit more question

Most avescripter desklets can have a back side. Just move your mouse to the bottom right corner or so and you'll find the flipping icon.

I am am not fully understanding here. A lot of the desklets I have downloaded does not have an *.avedesk file in it. Can someone tell me what the process is for getting these files into the avedesk program? I have the avescripter, some weather desklets, and the search desklet. So far I have only been able to add the search desklet because it contained a *.avedesk file. However the other other ones have no such file. So the process of importing these other files is what I need yo know. Thank you

If you don't have a .avedesk you should be able to either unzip it to the avescripter directory in a proper subdirectory, or in the desklet directory if its not a avescripter.

If most of the stuff should be an avedscripter directory if you go to www.avedesk.org

Ok. Let me see if I can word my question better.
I have downloaded Avedesk and Avescripter. They are both on my desktop in seperate folders. One is an avedesk folder, the other is an avescripter folder. Now I have also downloaded a file called digital clock. It is also on my desktop in its own folder called digital clock. So now I have 3 folders on my desktop.
I have already added a desklet called Search bar. It had an *.avedesk file in it so it was very simple to do. However, The digital clock Folder has no *.avedesk file. Now I have copied the digital clock folder into my desklet folder inside of avedesk, Started the avedesk control panel and it is not in the desklet list to add. So now I have cut the folder and pasted it into the avescripter folder. I restarted the avedesk control panel and it is still not in the add list. So wehat is it that I am doing wrong? Please explain the process to me like i am completely new to computers( I am not new I am A+, Net+, Security + Certified) cause for the life of me I can not figure this out. So please explain it to me like I am an Avedesk new born baby.
The program itself is a nice looking program and has a lot of potential, and i would love to be able to use it. Thank You

The AveScripter Folder needs to be in the Desklets folder of AveDesk.

Yes!!! Thank you very much!

I now have got it. How I got was I copied the avescript folder into the desklet folder of Avedesk and ran the control panel. Everything that comes with Avescripter finally showed up once I did that.

Now I had to figure out how to place the digital clock download that I had in order to get it to show up. The first thing I tried didnt work, so I played around a little more.

The digital clock folder itself and the averdesk installer xml file goes into the avescripter folder with the rest of the folders with the pictures in them.

Thank you again...I just wanted to finish out the explanation of how to do it for other averdesk ****ies like me.

You know this isnt in the tutorials anywhere. Nor in the forums till now. I hope this helps a lot of people.

Oh Yeah.....Pictures always help

Simply drag-'n-drop the ZIP (which should be aveinst) file onto the avedesk control panel.
