I'm not sure if this problem is fixed, and I can't check because I can't download the new version 'cuz I'm at the library, but Rosie hides QuickTime's PictureView's menu, causing the program (PictureViewer) to crash. I'll download the new version when I have time.

keane top notch mate,
One quick question.
How are u considering on making the spotlight applet? (To link to an external app or to do all the work by itself via indexing service maybe) thanks

Wow, cool. One thing: in actual Windows menus, you just have to click once and then you can move the mouse along the row of options and the different menus will drop down without you having to click each one. On your finderbar, you have to click each one. Could this be changed/fixed?

Also, for Windows Explorer windows, do you think you could make it have Explorer's actual menus instead of things like "new finder window"? It may not be as authentic but it would be a lot more funtional.

@wengleung:
Exclusion list isn't implemented in 0.2

Problem with the menus automatically selecting, this is a problem I somtimes experience as well, I am not 100% sure why it's not working all the time but it won't be over looked as it is very annoying when it doesn't work.

2. Good Idea, it would be cool to have the default exlorer menu accesible like Firefox' CompactMenu or something like that

in the registry, HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareRosieExclude

create a dword value with the executable's name... eg notepad.exe and set it to 1

You might have to create the Exclude key.

i downloaded it yesterday off the first the first page of this thread. might it have somethign to do with the skin i'm using? I'm using a quicktime skin for it.

I guess it was just a one time freak thing.

Great program.

i think it's the language of your windows? im not sure but...

for me even going to rundll freezes the finderbar and jibberish comes out. this happens to a few of my applications... so i was looking to add them to the exclusion list... im currently using Cantonese version of XP MCE

great program although it does frustrates me when i had to force restart my computer 20 times before i found out what was causing the computer to freeze..

Problem: It isn't saving the skin that I pick.
I assumed that it would keep it's settings in: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareRosie
But I go there and there is no "Rosie" entry in the registry!

Problem: After I close Rosie, the margin at the top will stay there until I restart the computer.
This is not major, however it will need to be fixed eventually.

This app has alot of potential! :)

mushu13, Rosie does not create an entry in the registry for me either, but you could overwrite the default Tiger Skin with the skin you chose =)

Thank you Keane :-)

I hope this great App keeps being developed.

It has the potential to be the ultimate Objectbar replacement.

Wishful thinking,

Keane, this app is awesome. Keep up the good work and please try to update us again, it seems it's been over a month since there were any updates.

I have the same problem.

However, you can lock and unlock the taskbar and it will snap back. For those that didn't know.

hey guys, thanks for the encouragement.

development has not stopped, and I had a major goof in the last release with rosie not creating a registry entry. So I have gone back and fixed it...

this is still just 0.2, but with the registry bug fixed. 0.3 just isn't ready yet.

sorry about that, my bad.
