Here are the tweaked files for QCD B36.....Iceman's tweaked files don't work on B36...so I modified the files using his own images.....Thanks a lot for the images Iceman :D

get the tweaked QCD here

Siddharth - It would be useful if you could list the changes made. I assume you mean replacing "QCD" with "iTunes", iTunes icons and logo? Is anything else changed or tweaked?

Well the changes are exactly the same as the ones Iceman had made for B35...it's just that these work with B36....

I've replaced the bitmaps in QCDIconMgr.dll

and I've replaced the icons in Branding.dll and QCDPlayer.exe

Hi all,

I just finished a graphite, it's gray scaled really, version of the iTunes 3.4a skin that SpiderCrabX did for QCD B36+.

I find it quite nice to have a color neutral version that would blend well with any visual style.

I'm waiting for Spider's permission before I post it publicly though.

Peace,
Grusic

P.S. Here's a snapshot of the Compact and Normal modes.

Sid,

Those drop shadows were added just for the screen shot.

QCD does not supporrt drop shadowing at this time.

Also, I just got Spider's permission to distribute the skin. Now all I need is a place that will host it.

Latah,
Grusic

Grusic

Ummm...may I ask how you did that though? Did you use a third party shadowing app or by some other way?

BTW I'd be glad to host the file for you...just send it to me through e-mail....

The shadows in this picture were added in Photoshop just for the screenshot. I wish there was another way.

The link is *not* dead, I have a feeling you didn't search for it.

hmm...i've just done a fresh install of QCD and replace the installed files with the aquified files, and i get an error that there is no playback plugin selected. i then get taken to a dialogue where i should select a playback plugin but there is nothing listed.

any thoughts?

First uninstall QCD and delete the directory. Reinstall QCD Player....don't install the tweaked QCD yet...
Configure the player with plugins and skins and whatever...Then replace the QCD files with the tweaked files..

After you do so you can run QCD Player and now all the configuration options are still available, there is a small bug with configuring plugins if you replace the exe before doing so....

Hope that helps,
Siddharth
