Let me tell you what happens in each to help you understand the difference...If you open iTunes, you'll see a black arrow appear under the iTunes icon in the Dock....that shows that iTunes is 'active'....However if you open a movie in QuickTime and minimize it to the Dock...you'll see a diminished form of the QuickTime Player in the Dock...and it will actually keep playing the movie in the dock!!! That is a window thumbnail...

To see what I mean go here and download the movie called Dock

http://www.apple.com/macosx/theater

(Make sure you have QuickTime so you can play it)

Umm deciever... whats the point in creating a chart, if its totally opinionated? If you want to create a comparison chart, id suggest downloading both applications and running them... dl other ones too...like icemans.... Your chart is exceedingly inaccurate... I would get rid of the */* rating...cause those are opinion based, not factual. And just to tell you ...you can autohide mobydock, change its background image , you can get thumbnails from running apps, change its font, deletion smoke will be added in next version (as will bouncing icons), and change its icons... i guess thats about all

I know it is inaccurate cuz I've already stated that and that is why I've been asking yall people to help me correct the problems. Also I downloaded mobydock and it is somehow screwed up cuz I think someone added Litestep in it with mobydock. And I can't find a download of Mobydock that is up. I'll get rid of the rating but I was later going to fully explain the rating system and change the ratings later on but for now if you want I'll get rid of the ratings and maybe just let people vote on how well the features work. And were you saying that deletion smoke will be added for the next version or some of the other features you listed too?

no I actually did try the mobydock for a lil bit then it got screwed up by either Litestep program that was in the folder with it or I might have accidently extracted it in there with mobydock and screwed up myself. but for the few times I did run mobydock it looked very jagged and was a bit slow on my setup which isn't that great at all -.- 700mhz processor.

Dock Features There's the link to the table and after I fix everything I'll make it look pretty  :) don't forget to tell me what needs to be fixed or what features needs to be added

Deciever, you need a correction...
Mobydock 0.06 does actually allow for various placement on the desktop
its just not setup as bottom, top, left, right
you have to enter the location as X,Y coordinates

Also you can resize mobydock if I understand your definition of resize...
can be done via the Icon Sizes section, which serves 2 purposes.
resizes the base Icon size (affecting the overall size), and it also can resize
just the magnified icon size.

MobyDock has "window thumbnails" but it doesn't have the correct behavior. It snapshots explorer\IE related windows when they are open. The correct behavior is when you minimize a window it shows up in the dock as a thumbnail. I think the correct behavior should be put in as a choice for those that want it.

Moby CAN be moved around (thru X and Y coordinate settings) but it CAN'T GET ROTATED in vertical mode... also, try moving mobydock to top of the screen and see what happens... :)

I think what Deciever meant by "moving" was snapping to sides of the screen... with rotation of icons, labels and all...

those last two posts is where my rating system would come in.
1/5 for just emulating the feature
1/5 for fair speed
1/5 for perfect speed(the speed stuff is really dependant on the system so before I try makin a good rating system I'll probably rethink the speed stuff)
1/5 for looks
1/5 for whether it fully emulates the feature
I was also going to have another 1/5 for whether or not it goes beyond what the os x dock feature does
