Thanks, I wanted to post the bug because looks like some people are having similar problems too, and It should be fixed, but Flyakite OS is great!

Erm, when I 'uninstalled' FlyAKite and rebooted, the bootscreen, the log on screen and the task bar remained the same, as if I never uninstalled it. System Restore didn't do anything, either.

Anyone know how to fix it?

How many times have you restarted since uninstalling? Doing it more than once may help.

just installed flyakite osx 3.5. i also got that 'user32.dll relocated in memory' dialog when i start up.

and another thing, i'm not really sure if this is flyakite's fault but, if i open a folder (by double clicking it) it shows a Search window (rather than the files and folders contained on that folder). it does the same things with Pidlshortcuts i made using avedesk. The problem i noticed was when you right-click on a folder, the first option is Search..(bold) followed by open then explore. (i think the default is Open first, then explore then search)

This happened after i installed Flyakite. Then i uninstalled flyakite to see if the problem would go away but it's still there. Then i installed it again, but still the problem is there.

The only thing i can do now is to right-click on folders all the time and select 'Open' but it would still be best if it would open when i double click on it.

Any way to fix this? i have reshack but i don't know how to use it or what file will i be 'hacking'..

Hey guys,

Im having a bit of trouble. Ive been looking through the forums and dont quite understand the solutions. My problem is that when I reboot, turn on, whatever... after the apple upload screen does its thing and then the screen goes black. I even left it there for 25 min... nothing. Ive restarted it multiple multiple times but to no avial. Now i was reading about something removing the 3.5v boot and installing the 3.0v boot? Can someone help me on that? Much appreciated!

EDIT: I was being stupid... I realized that it was either chk dsk or a spyware thing that was making the screen black... oh well.

Also, so i just unistalled itunes and quicktime and from what i understand there is no up-to-date pluggin? Is this correct?

Another question... the spyware detection on my laptop (CounterSpy) is detecting some wierd processes as trojans:
Trojan.Wfpdis.A
Trojan.NewMediaCodec

Should I be worried about this??? I have a feeling that it is just this spyware thing... ugh i hate it but my school d/led it and i dont know if i can take it off.

You are correct in that there is no up-to-date plugin.

Wfpdis.A, if it is what I think it is, is a service FlyakiteOSX uses to replace the system files. I don't know about that latter one, though...you might wanna try and do some further research on that.

Work around for boot screen problem.

Install FlyakiteOSX v3.5 but uncheck boot screen option.
Reboot the system which asked by FlyakiteOSX.
Now, modify the boot.ini, add the following after /fastdetect /noguiboot

Now, reboot the system. You will not see the Windows boot screen but only "MAC OSX".

patarongrat, that's a result of Y'Z Shadow. You can disable it and the shadow boxes will go away. Search for more info.

Flyakite resizes my icons to 32x32 everytime that I reboot.
I change my icons to 48x48 in display properties and I've tried using flyakite's user settings dialog.
My system is XP Professional SP2.

i cant get an internet connection.....

Internet Explorer cannot display web page!!!

ive tried searching for explorer.exe and it opens the browser but same fault
i opened the task manager and i see it in there
i went through c:windowssystem32 and i dont see explorer.exe

NOTE: i have uninstalled Flyakite and explorer works fine but, when i re-enstalled it the problem re-occured

styler toolbar and objectbar both have their respective effects on ie. styler toolbar can hide ie and explorer menus, objectbar can hide address bar/movable menus of explorer and ie (see general options). if you are using one or both, pls check....

maybe i didnt explain myself clearly. i am using a different computer to post this messege because for some reason, when i installed flyakiteOSX, i no longer can get on the internet because it now has no connection.

p.s. wireless and firefox doesnt work either

This software is sooooo cool, keep up the good work

But after a while, the icons (new OSX icons) became like this:




There's white edges around them. Donno why
But everthing's fine with program icons (not system icons, like the Firefox one)

Everything else works

P.s I've tried to update the 'System Files' and done the 'Rebuild Icon Cache' but it still doesn't work....
