Hey, can somebody please help me out?

I installed Flyakite 3.5 at my windows xp. It worked for about 2 days but every time I turn on my PC now, I get an error message after loading "Windows" saying something like : There is a more recent version , and something else I don't remember. Then my computer restarts. How do i remove this error? and if I have to uninstall flyakite, how do I uninstall it? Thanks

Tell me How to fix this problem.
I went into the Resource folder (C:WINDOWSFlyakiteOSXResources) and tried messing with things, but nothing happened...Help?

Hi, I have just installed flyakiteosx v3.5 and am pleased with what I have but it's not all of it and I would like the whole thing. It gave me the boot screen, the sounds, the cursor, the icons, the dock, background, everything except the skin, the taskbar didn't change and it won't let me change it. And I still have the standard XP theme for any window that I bring up. I just want to be able to use the red, yellow, and green buttons instead of x, square, and -.

The only reason I download was for skin and it is the only thing that wont work.

I do like the other features though don't get me wrong =D

can anyone plz plz plz post the link of the Special Edition of flyakiteosx 3.5 intended for Simplified Chinese users, users with Asian Text Characters installed, or anyone that has experienced the shell32.dll memory allocation problem???i hab 2gigs of ram but i always get shell32.dll memory allocation problem...the file size of my shell32.dll is 26.5 mb...i tried http://www.flyakiteosx.com/download/ and http://osx.portraitofakite.com/ but i cud find the normal version only there...

The probelm with the itunes multiplugin was
that the program was made to skin your itunes well the new iTunes 8 does not support it no need to worry thou all you have to do is cancel the install by using ctrl+alt+delete go into processes find the installer stop it rerun the install and under software uncheck the itunes multi plugin and you will be fine i had to do the same thing and it is working fine for me

I have a bug in uninstalling,

The Icons stay normal, pretty much everyting stays as a mac and I don't want it anymore,
I've fixed the mouse and appearance but the icons are driving me mad, (no offence), If you can fix this and/or give me a download to turn the icons back to xp thx

P.S. I've tried changing it through the properties on desktop but all it shows are apple icons

Hi mikool,

Firstly: No offence taken.

Secondly: The golden rule of desktop customization is the following:

"Back your system up before screwing around with system files. At the very least: Make a new System Restore Point". (Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore)."

(A corollary to this rule is: "Make sure you don't already have any other System Restore Points made on the same day. I was screwed with this once: wanting to perform a restore, I got the message "There are already too many System Restore Points made for this particular day - please choose another"...)

... which brings us to the exciting question: did you or did you not (at the very least) make a System Restore Point before installing Flyakite?

This is actually a trick question, because in the installation process itself, Flyakite gives you a bunch of things to tick off on a list, one of these being "Make a System Restore Point". Being the sensible person that you no doubt are, you ticked this box.

Which is your Get Out Of Jail Free card. Please do the following:

1. Uninstall Flyakite.

2. Restart your system.

3. Open the System Restore application: Win+R, and type the following: C:WINDOWSsystem32Restorerstrui.exe

4. Choose the option: "Restore your awesome XP machine to its former beauty" (I resource hacked my pc to make it say that)

5. Restart your pc. The glory and funkability that is the truely delicious XP Luna layout and icon settings will be yours once again.


On the other hand - if you didn't make a System Restore Point...

Btw: when I'm bored, I watch a porno... "System Restore Point" comes completely on its own accord...

been there done that, didn't work is there like a flyakite xp?

OK i have a pretty big problem and I am sure at least one of you knows the answer! I cant log on and i jiust installed flyakite. It just shows the background and a white mouse. Anyone know whats wrong?

Hey is there a reason my comp sometimes doesnt boot when I turn it on? it just shows a black screen with the motherboard symbol and stops there. I really don't want to have to reformat or anything please help!

Hi,
Flyakite is excellent and beautifull, but I have a problem with some butons in internet explorer with the Tiger theme, because it is not shown with the normal theme of windows.
Watch this:



Is there a way to resolve this problem? Is it a problem with Tiger theme or themes' dll?
What more information is necessary to give?

it happened to me to, u just stop the whole setup uninstall ( it is going to mess up ur backgrounds and icon placement) after uninstallation u just reinstall and uncheck itunes... (i think it is in the software tab at download....)

also (sorry for double post), i do have a problem with the mac theme. The start bar is supposed to be a mac finder bar but mine is still a windows start bar but in classic form. it looks really bad. the applications should have the MAC red yellow and green for the close, minimize and the resize. i want to have these but the flyakite didnt work for this. other than that the software is good. i have a pic inclosed..
