I posted this in another area accidentaly, hope it doesn't annoy anyone too much. But I think I'm in the right place now.

Hey all, any clue why Flyakite wont let me have say, photshop and illustrator open at the same time? I have multiple monitors if that helps.

I love this emulator, but I cant really operate with one program open at a time. Although, I can have IE and photshop open, then once in a while that will go whacky.

Any clues?

Thanks,
Inkster

FOSX is NOT an emulator. And as far as i know it doesn't allow/forbid programs to run.

I think you better do a virus scan.

I run multiple programs while using flyakite almost everyday including photoshop, flash, fireworks, (no illustrator tho)... I'm on v.2 but I can't imagine v.3 having this problem. Its a great conversion kit, the best i've ever used...

Well surpisingly, the problems started immediately after install and stopped immediately after uninstall. So Im betting its not a virus. Anyone with an inside scoop able to tell me anything?

It's wierd, I can shut down one of the extra programs and them wham, things work fine. Sometimes shutting down one of my IE windows will do it, or shutting down PS will allow Illustrator to work.

Think people, THINK! :)

Here's an idea, if it works after uninstall.... then when you reinstall, do it in pieces. Or uninstall in pieces. Install just DLL files. Do you have a problem? If no, install EXE files. If yes, uninstall maybe half the dll files. It's tedious, but the only way to tell what the problem is here.

What happens when you try to open another program? Do you get an error? Does it run in Task Manager but you can't see it? Or does it actually not run?

When I installed, everything installed perfectly. But then I would open Illsutrator. Alone it would work great. Then I would open PS and things would start to happen. Either PS would just shutdown, or suddenly not allow me to enter into any of the menu headers (file, edit, etc).

Most times if I shut down one or two programs, the remaining ones would work.

Since uninstallation, I have the following issues. My HP printer keeps reinstalling itself. My Adobe Acrobat is acting screwy. I can't print to my PDF maker anymore. CorelDraw says it's menu configuration file is bad and can't restart.

I've scanned the crud out of my drives for viruses and I got nothing.

I'm confused to say the least.

To asnwer your questions flyakite....

Sometimes nothing, it would open and then not run correctly. Sometimes it would open and then BEEP shut down on its own.
<>
See above.
<< Does it run in Task Manager but you can't see it? Or does it actually not run?>>
It would open in the TM, but then leave once it shut itself down.

Yes, reread my post above yours:

"Here's an idea, if it works after uninstall.... then when you reinstall, do it in pieces. Or uninstall in pieces. Install just DLL files. Do you have a problem? If no, install EXE files. If yes, uninstall maybe half the dll files. It's tedious, but the only way to tell what the problem is here."

As for the other issues, FlyakiteOSX doesn't touch anything related to CorelDraw, so I have no idea. Check your event logs in Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer.

Acrobat is acting screwy how? FlyakiteOSX also does not touch any Adobe Acrobat related files. Have you tried reinstalling your PDF Maker? What happens when you try to print to it? Have you tried manually resinstalling your HP printer? If you still have problems, try running sfc /scannow from the command line.

Yeah, don't bump your posts--it's against Board Rules, as is double posting.

Nightcrawler, as I said in my first message, I didn't intentionally double post.

When we say double post, we refer to adding one post right after another; we're not referring to threads. Thus your earlier series of posts in which you answered flyakite's questions were double posts.
