hi flyakite...congrats on the new release..it looks absolutely gorgeous. :)

anyway, i installed flyakite3.0 on my laptop with a 15.4 wxga screen...i was just wondering, is there a possibility to have a widescreen version of the bootscreen? i think it would just look right to have an un-stretched apple logo on startup.

i tried to edit the image once...and it prevented my system from booting up...lol...so i had to do a fresh install of everything...i might have missed to tick the read-only option to the file i guess...anyway im not going to try that stunt again.

thank you and i hope you never get tired of creating...anything. more power to you. :-)

Nope. Impossible. Graphics driver's haven't booted up at that point, so it has to be 640*480.

//Thread Title edited. Changed it because it could become something interesting, and it doesn't have to pertain to flyakite...

what you could do is resize the bootscreen image to make the apple logo narrow but keep it at 640x480. that way when the image is stretched wide, it will look normal. im too lazy to do the math and the work. :P i actually have the same issue with my widescreen laptop. anyone care to volunteer to do a quick mod?
