it's a great app, and I've only got one request: Objectbar support.

I have a search Icon on the top left, but it links to windows search right now >.>

Hey all I just found out about this application. It works great but I was wondering if anyone could help me use a bolder font to the program.


I tried using reshack but it says the .exe is compressed any ideas I would like to use a custom smooth font I have made. Any help would be greatly appreaciated

nice app , i've been using it for some time already
anyway i have a suggestion for more OB integration
could you make the -noicon parameter close the dialog if it is ran again
that way , OB users can click on the icon again to make the dialog close.( like the systray icon)

and when i click on the Ob icon(the -noicon parameter) , the dialog initially appears to the top left of the screen before it "relocates" it self to the correct location.
its kind of annoying..., this bug doesn't happen if i launch Seacrhspy from the systray


suggestion..

Make the noicon thingy not automatically open and close the app after its done
basically have Search spy be already running in the background , but running the exe with the -noicon parameter open or close the dialog( depending whether it is already opened or closed)

something like avedesk's -opensc parameter, running it when the app is already running makes showcase open

for now , searchspy refuses to open the dialog with the -noicon parameter if it is already in the systray, meaning i must Kill the process if i want to make the OB icon work

Hi I'm new, Just Recently installed the latest FlyakiteOSX, I am pretty sure I chose not to install the searchspy, but I downloaded it here, the new version, and when i tried it, nothing happened. Just a sound, but no searching

read this forum im sure ull get the answers....
it could be anythng,like no gds, or no indexing(u need to first let gds index all ure files),etc,
the new version relies on gds indexing,

kindly read thru the forum,it is a known bug,spygamer is already aware of it,also if u read few posts above,hes working to completely recode searchspy,which probably fix these issues too.

I'v read through the first couple of pages but haven't found an answer. Is it possible to display the icon on the right of the clock? Or make a hot spot in the right corner? To make it more realistic?

No, its not. Not sure about you, but I have a personal life. And a have lots of things to learn in order to get a better searchspy done. Been studing stuff about the windows API, just started learning COM and DLLs. Looked for information about file system notifications...

So please, be pacient since it's beeing rewritten from ZERO.

Anyway, you can get the second (and bugfixed) version from the othjer link. Just read over the first post.

hey SpyGamer ... from all the posts ... it looks like uv made a really neat app... ! awesome...
i'ld really want to use it for my searches ... but im using copernic... and i was wondering whether there's any way u could port ur app with copernic? and if u cant... whether u could tell me how ur app fares against copernic ... (only using ur native search system and not that of GDS) ... (not in terms of search.. but more like memory usage and all) .. i have around 12000 files and 260000 keywords that have been indexed and when its doing a search it takes a max of about 30-40 mb.. and when its minimized .. takes about 3-5 mb ...
if urs has got a similar usage ... i'ld want to shift to using urs... !

Anyone know where i can get v1.0? because the link i posted is 1.1, and that's probably why it isn't indexing as i don't want GDS on my pc.
