That tweak to fix the superimposing Google ads worked.

Now it won't work again.

Are you using the latest version? There
was a problem that I fixed - I'd just like to know if this is a new one (I don't get it on my gmail).

I am using the latest version and am having the same problem. The ads seem to be superimposed over the text of my email. I just downloaded this yesterday and I am loving this. I am just customizing it to my liking. Will post screenshots when I get it the way I like it. Would really like to see if we can get the ad thing fixed though.
Something else I just noticed as well. The Google Maps integration is also overlaid in the same position. This is something that would be nice to have if we can get it to display somewhere else. I have been able to block the ads by using an ad blocking greasemonkey script. As far as the "Map This" it's still there and like I said I wouldn't mind to keep it around just in a different place then over top of my message text.
Thanks,
baricrazi

Ok, I tried to figure this out enough times before posting for help...I know it's going to end up being something so stupid and simple *Shakes Head*
I can't figure out what I am doing wrong...
I followed the instructions exactly:
I don't have any seperate profiles so this is the directory for my /Profiles/Chrome
C:Program FilesMozilla Firefoxdefaultsprofilechrome
I put a " userContent.css " file and put the gmail code in it. Also the gmail file provided is in there also.
I restart the firefox and it is still the same g-mail
The version of Firefox I'm using is 1.5.0.1

Thanks alot man I appreciate it greatly. Worked like a charm.
The tricky thing is, When you look for it ( maybe it's just my setup ) you don't come across the directory. I copied and pasted what you typed as the directory and found a file similiar to the one you said, went in, moved the files from the other directory and bam, it's on
Once again, Thanks!
Now if there was only a skin ( or trick ) to make the main page of google into a mac one hehe

Yeah, the folder "hns4vvid.default" that was on my system takes on the format "xxxxxxxx.default," so it's hard to give a definitive path that will work on every system.
About your second tip on making the main page of Google into a Mac one, it's conceivably possible...but a lot of extra work for very little gain

Y'all should try the
local install extension - it puts an 'Edit my config' option on the tools menu that allows you to edit your usercontent.css without having to dig around in 'documents and settings'.

^^ That's what greasemonkey script is for. Just click on tools and edit user scripts. That simple.

I am using the lastest version but still have problems - the inbox is ok, but when I compose a message (or reply) the brushed horizontal bars at the top and the bottom of the message are gmail blue. Any hints how can I fix this? Thank you!

I downloaded this, and installed it correctly, but, for some reason, I still keep seeing all of the "sponsored links" in my messages. Am I doing something wrong?
