This latest breakthru is a biggie. ONE project is ending, though...AveShell. Why?
There are (and have always been) limits to what I could do with AveShell. I knew this from the get-go. AveDesk and SysStats, being the quality pieces of software that they ARE (and will alyways be), just weren't made to do what I've envisioned (or come up with in a drunken stupor, in other words). AndreasV and Judge BOTH have always been nothing but helpful and patient with me and my questions, and I'll always appreciate that. But the facts are as they are -- AveDesk and SysStats were made for making WIDGETS. The design was never intended for shell replacement. No insult to any of the developers (who are among the most talented coders you'll find this side of Microsoft), of course.
Samurize, however, since version 1.5, has been groomed to facilitate this a bit more easily. It's more suited to shell replacement, and is probably going to get even MORE so as time goes by.
Anyway.
AeroShell is getting a new build, and I'll be ready to release in on New Years' Eve. This one is going to dazzle you. Samurize never ceases to amaze ME...(neither do its' plugin writers...)
Get ready for AveShell looks IN SAMURIZE.
Want a preview? (I KNOW you do, too...)
Remember how the default DeskPane looked? Here's a refresher:

Here's the NEW and IMPROVED one (unfinished, of course):

You like ? I know I like...
What we have here is the result of a little-known plugin for Samurize that someone made TWO YEARS AGO called Text Out. Light on resources (I know because I've looked), good on looks, and it holds its' settings WAAAAY better than TextFX. It's the winner, and it rectifies the ONLY complaint that I ever had about Samurize: the font rendering looked ancient. Not any more with THIS puppy.
Expect the upgrade in two weeks.
