Up till now AveScripter as been tested internally by a selective few people. But of course that also mean limited possibilities of testing. Since I also want to add new features like, Better drag and drop to do a Dockbar, Canvas to draw at runtime, "Style Sheet" to avoid typing the same info, live debugging of script, GUI to create desklets faster and easier and more as it comes in.

I was thinking on having a "BETA" testing area, where you can download the latest (which can be weekly / biWeekly or more since holidays are around the corner) build of AveScripter. You don't need to be a scripting person, but just have enough patience to test new things and mostly test stablilty of the engine, new skins and things like making sure that the new communcation protocol works in every way possible.

The end result, is I want to just try to avoid releasing "Bugs" to the public.

The first release went pretty well. But I want to try to avoid some silly things that could be easly found if there are more people testing it.

I would appreciate any feedback from anyone willing to join in.

I'll probably do a Beta Section at the avedesk.philc.ca site where you can always download and a forum to enter feedback on tests.

Latest Beta 1.0.1.12 has been updated. Many fixs have been done. Please report to me any bugs you might encounter. I want to release a "Bug Free" version.

My bug list is currently empty. (New features/changes is BIG list, so lets just keep it bugs.)

I'm also trying to setup the Betaforms to have auto emailing of beta updates. To avoid posting at aqua all the time. Unless everyone prefers aqua, we could start a beta topic??

I would prefer 1 site for forums. Also, I'm thinking on just give public access to beta and let the people choose what they want. What do you think?

NEW Timer type 5, same has 0 except the delay/interval is between commands.. In other words. It stops the timer calls the command then starts the timer.

-New Detect if internet is active before connection
-New Forceget has optional param to force connect to web before fetching
-FIX XML Cache. This was broken when I created the new communication.
-NEW Proxy support. Right click the desklet properties to set user/password. This setting is global to avescripter.
-FIX AccessViloation in windows 2k. Due to the fact that 2k doesn't have themes.
-Made Scripter smarter, don't triggered refresh/redraws unless there is an actually change. You can always force a redraw with ReDraw command.

-Communication to download XML has been reviewed, It now should use IE options built in the OS.
- Rotation option added in the XML for layers
- All drawing events are now thread safe. This fixs all hyperthreading problems. Except when you have the control panel open. This is a avedesk issue.

Like all the ideas. Making the beta availabe publicly makes a lot of sense and most avid users here understand that.
