I'm new here, so sorry if this should be posted elsewhere. I just installed the multi-plugin for iTunes and after running some of the skins available here, I noticed that none of them seem to maximize fully... there are always some edges missing that reveals parts of my desktop. Is there any way to correct this or do all skins have this problem? Thanks.

Hello, welcome to aqua-soft.org. TAGS are neccassary or Unbe will chase after you. Tags are, well, I'll just show you: "[Question] Why do iTunes skins not maximize fully?" Is what it should look like.

Personally, I don't know, but other people might.

Interesting...I hadn't noticed that.
You will notice that the "Default" and "Mac OS X - Borders Enabled" skins don't have that problem. My guess is that there's some internal limitation in iTunes that doesn't allow it to get larger than the size of your resolution. Since most skinners apparently opt to leave out the borders (they ARE ugly), that leaves a little gap there.
Well, as far as correcting it, hopefully localhost will stop by and give us an answer.
And as far as your apology - no big deal. You probably should have included the tag [help] at the beginning of your thread title, and the thread title could have been a bit more descriptive and to the point. (I'm doing my best to spare you and Unbeliever (our moderator) the pain of going through this together =D)
But I wouldn't worry about it too much. Maybe he'll be kind, since you've had the lecture, and just rename your thread for you. =)

Congrats on getting the right subforum though. You are obviously brighter than many.

That's because the other skins are borderless. Those borders still exist, they're just invisible. when maximized, iTunes still thinks there are borders so it doesn't fully maximize.
btw Arathorn, you are right that iTunes doesn't allow the windows to be larger than the resolution. so I can't fix it by enlarging the maximized window.

Thanks for the replies. I edited my title.. and yeah, the Default and Mac OSX borders enable themes work fine. Am I correct in assuming that unless skins are released with borders, there's no other way to fix this?

You could try to add/edit border images yourself.

* Copy the 2 border images from the OSX Borders skin
* Edit the corner images to move the corners out by 2px.

My next skin (Bister iTunes) will have borders.
