As you may have noticed, updates to the Aqua-Soft front page have been sporadic. Our newsposting team is excellent, but sadly, it has become understaffed in recent weeks. Due to various scheduling conflicts--schooling, for the most part--the newsposting staff is having trouble keeping up with the sheer volume of releases you guys are producing!.

We are looking for people who are willing to help the current newsposting team--you will not be replacing anybody. This position requires a certain level of fluency in English, at least two months of experience at Aqua-Soft (more is preferred) and applicants over 15 years old.

And, most important of all, you MUST HAVE TIME to fulfill the duties of daily newsposter. We are looking for people who have free time on weekdays, specifically Monday-Wednesday, and possibly a backup. If you are picked, your schedule will be static; the day you post will not change. Please specify which day you prefer to post.

Why all these restrictions?

Well, as a newsposter for Aqua-Soft, you will be our ambassador to the world. You will be responsible for the first impression people will get as they point their browsers to www.aqua-soft.org, and that requires certain qualifications.

If you want to join the newsposting team, post your application in THIS thread. In it, you should state your country of residence (important because of the time-zones and newsposting duties), age, education, the reason you want to join the newsposting team, and what day works best for you.
If you're uncomfortable about posting any of this on a public forum, you can send me the answers via PM. I will announce when new offers are no longer being accepted; a PM will be sent out shortly after that time that will notify you if you're accepted.

Here are the open positions.

- Four daily newsposters: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and someone who's flexible

If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to PM or email me. If you have in-depth questions that require a personal conversation, send me a PM and I'll reply with my AIM/MSN contact.

I could do it. I mean I live on this site. Don't I?

The front page needs some Greek spicing up anyways. :P I could do whatever days needed. I'd cover all areas and such. :)

[edit] I forgot some info.

Age: 21.
Place of residence: Pennsylvania, USA, and sometimes Karpathos, Greece
Education: Up to about a year or so of college - I got into the food bussiness and once you are in their is no way out.
Languages spoken: English, Greek, some German, some French, little Spanish
Other stuff: I know HTML, BBCode (who doesn't?!) and some CSS.

be wary it's difficult job... if you have school and are taking extremely difficult courses i advise you not to even consider applying. if you have plenty of free time it's great. but remember unbe bans you for like 5 weeks if you don't do the job right

Still looking for about 1-2 more people, I would guess...mainly people willing to serve as backup posters. The 3 applications already submitted have been unofficially accepted; I'll send out PMs this weekend.

[Edit: What Pat said about not applying if you're overbooked with academics is very true--please don't bother applying if you don't think you can do it. That's what led to the current amount of understaffing, though it wasn't that bad b/c it was nearing the end of the school year for last hiring season.]

-NC

P.S: Nothing's final, though...I'm just a little harried, so I'm rushing things along.

I strongly considered not applying because I had that in mind. But I am out of school and now run a bussiness. I have full internet connection their and linger on the forums during work, and after work.

The only thing, which I don't think is a problem would me having to teach Greek school once a week (Thursdays) which is only a hour and a half.

Name: Darrell
Location: Near Cocoa Beach, FL
Age: 16
Highest Education Recieved: 11th Grade (AP English II)

I'm pretty much available everyday after 4pm EST, on weekends I'm available all day except between 8-12pm EST. I'm always up to date on what themes are coming along/released and other elements, and I know I could effectively report events.
