Hi Guys :)

I've been developing a program for Windows over the last few weeks that is loosely based on Stattoo for OSX (link) - more inspired on than based on, as it's got a few more features/different behaviours.

A lot of you will whinge about it being another widget-style-app, but I've had fun developing it and plan to get it up to a usable state!

Currently uses plugins to provide information and the "widgets" are skinnable, as well as the images which are displayed along with them. It differs from widget applications in that it just runs, paints information onto your desktop background, then quits - meaning it's not always running. The loss, however, is thay you have no interactivity, just stuff to look at :o

Would like to get any suggestions from people who've used Stattoo before, or people who'd be interested in trying this out. Also anyone who'd be willing to throw suitable icons/skins together would be greatly appreciated, as I don't have the best eye for design!

Just putting feelers out at the moment (with an obligatory screenshot):

(Showing three functional plugins, date, diskfree & weather) - Any feedback/comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'd be willing to function as a beta tester if you want. I have an AMD 64 3200+, with 512 MB memory, and I'd be quite happy to let you know if I have bugs or anything like that. Just PM me.

I'd be more than happy to be a beta tester too if you want. And perhaps some simple skinning :P
Haven't used Mac before though, if its obligatory *.*

Hehe, no, not at all!

Thanks for the offers guys, will probably stalk you in a week or so - want to work on the cosmetics of things a ltitle bit first and finalise the plugin interface so things work peachy! (As you can see, I'm totally ripping off Stattoo's graphics at the moment, which I hope to change!)

Good for you--my suggestion is to keep it simple, and keep the interface uncomplicated.

Best of luck!
